Salmon Fishing!
Took Twinkie along as it was an adventure out of the City. This is a view from the parking lot over the dock out into the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
On board Ken's boat. motoring out to open water. Ken's boat is great and the little cabinet is just tall enough to stand up in if the weather turns bad. He had it custom made so you could. Lots of room for 4 guys to fish and have plenty of moving room while bringing in the 'big one'!
Here is the link to an online album with more pictures.

Looking Around
In my wandering I finally got up close to this very odd sculpture! I've seen it from below and it was odd, but right next to it! WTF! Its little men with ladders for heads and other little men with head ladders walking on other little men's ladder heads! I'm sure it suggests something about climbing the corporate ladder or something.Tuesday, September 9, 2008
Weekend Ride
Great picture of some of the mountains during the ride!
Of course Twinkie was along since it was a exploring adventure. Here we are enjoying Keechelus Lake. You can get to this just off I-90. Great little place to stop and have a picnic if you are doing a long haul on the interstate.
Against my better judgement I decided to get into the picture with Twinkie! All leather ed up for the day's ride. I would have rather been in the water! They even rent paddle boats if you are so inclined.
Here you can see more the park next to the lake. Its a perfect place for an afternoon picnic. Lots of shade, comfy grass. You can still here the traffic from the interstate though.
And can you believe it! In the middle of no-where's vill, someone carved a mushroom out of an old stump! It was a great place for it! It was very exciting!
Along the way we stopped in Roslyn, WA. A very small little town just north of the the interstate. For those who don't' know, the T.V. series Northern Exposure did some filming there. The mural pictured above is in the opening credits where the moose is shown walking down the main street of town.
Also the local bar/cafe in the show, The Brick is located here also. Stopped in for a drink! They have an old running water trough right below your feet at the bar for spitting! Icky, but cool all that the same time. Caught the last bit of the UW vs BYU game while there. Not many happy people.

The ride home was very peaceful. Thursday, September 4, 2008
Little Excitement!
What I find odd is that if there is a fire alarm shouldn't you be leaving the building? Outside there were a few people, mostly the smokers getting in another cig. Good picture of people and Fire truck in the background.
Had to get a picture of the firefighters! 3 of them came strolling out of the building. One happen to be a woman. Must not have been to serious as they just had their coats, pants and boots on. No other equipment. False alarm? Someone having a panic attack?
And to top it off is this lady. I was sitting with my back to her and she was talking/yelling pretty loudly but couldn't understand what she was saying. Figure she was on the phone and yelling over the traffic noise. When the fire fighters came out she started yelling at them, "Thanks for saving my life! They saved my life!" and mumbled other things. So, she is now the 'Crazy Lady'!
